Diddy has revealed that Travis Scott will perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday based on his demands.

Diddy, who is serving as an executive producer of the award show, confirmed Scott’s performance in a video shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday.

He said, “This just in.”

“For the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, I made a request, I made a demand. I said, ‘My brother Travis Scott has to perform. I’m executive producing, he has to perform,’ and NBC said ‘yes.’ It’s going down Sunday, Travis Scott will be performing … now that’s love.”

Earlier this week, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs speaking with REVOLT Black News had, asked the public to forgive Scott.

“There will be no cancelling on my watch,” Diddy said. “Love is about forgiveness… so that was why it was important for me to have Travis Scott perform. It’s going to be a great night.”

This would be Scott’s first televised performance since the devastating Astroworld tragedy of November 2021 that left 10 dead and hundreds injured.

However, it wouldn’t be the rapper’s first time on stage since the incident, as he performed alongside Quavo at the Miami Grand Prix weekend at E11Even Miami over the weekend.

New court filings have revealed how many concertgoers were injured in the 2021 Astroworld tragedy in a more recent update.

Rolling Stone reports that Jason Itkin, Richard Mithoff, and Sean Roberts, attorneys acting as plaintiff’s liaison counsel for the victims’ suits, filed claims on Monday in Harris County, Texas.

The outlet further revealed that attorneys had pushed that along with the 10 deaths, there were 732 claims tied to injuries that required extensive medical treatment, 1,649 tied to less extensive treatment, and 2,540 claims for injuries where the severity is still under review, totalling over 4,900 claims for deaths and injuries at the festival.

Since the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott has maintained a low profile; however, it would seem that the rapper is gearing to move on now.
